How foreigners in Hua Hin can register for a Pfizer vaccine

The Thai government recently announced it was accelerating the rollout of COVID-19 vaccines to foreigners throughout Thailand.

As a result, foreigners who have not registered to receive a vaccine are urged to do so via the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Expat Vac registration website:

People who register on the website will receive the Pfizer vaccine free of charge.

Priority will be given to those aged 60 years and above, those who are at least 12 weeks pregnant, and those who have any of the following underlying medical conditions: chronic respiratory diseases, cardiovascular diseases, chronic kidney diseases, cerebrovascular diseases, any type of cancer during chemotherapy, radiotherapy and autoimmune therapy, diabetes, and obesity.

Registration via the Expat Vac website is only available to people who have not already received a vaccine dose.

To register, applicants will need to enter their contact details and must also supply a photograph or scan of the following documents:

  • Passport photo page

  • Photo of ‘visa’ or extension of stay stamp

  • For those with an underlying health condition, a medical certificate or document which confirms the condition.

  • For those who are pregnant, a medical certificate or document which confirms the pregnancy.

After registering on the website, applicants will receive an email confirming their registration.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will then send a list of name of applicants who are next in line to receive the vaccine.

There details will be passed to health officials in Hua Hin who will then re-confirm the vaccine appointment.

Vaccines for people who registered using Expat Vac will be administered every Monday at Hua Hin Hospital.

What if you have already registered?

If you have already registered on the Expat Vac website, the advice is to regularly check your emails, including the Spam or Promotion folder, for an email confirming your vaccine appointment.
