The PT PRACHUAP GRANDPRIX 2021, a motor race which was due to be held on the roads around Ao Prachuap later this month, has been postponed.
As reported previously by Hua Hin Today, the PT PRACHUAP GRANDPRIX 2021 had been due to take place between November 24-28, 2021.
However, Governor Sathien Charoenruen has now opted to postpone the event, citing the ongoing COVID-19 situation in the province.
In addition, the Grand Prix was also due to be held on the same day as the upcoming Sub-District Administrative Organization elections.
Governor Sathien said he was worried that there may not be enough officers to cover both events and ensure that COVID-19 safety protocols could be enforced.
Therefore, the PT PRACHUAP GRANDPRIX will now take place on the 19 to 23 January.
Previously the Governor said the event was worth 100 million baht to the local economy.
